This week you will begin creating an annotated bibliography of research that will ultimately be organized and synthesized in EDL 821 into your review of literature which is Chapter II of your dissertation. Using what you have learned about ProQuest and the tentative subheadings/themes you created on your Research Matrix, find five peer reviewed sources that will be beneficial for your topic, and follow the instructions in the link above to begin your Annotated Bibliography. Make sure you read each article, etc., and decide what information would be beneficial for your study. Be sure you paraphrase the information in your own words. Include sources that agree and disagree with what you perceive about the topic. Add the sources to your Research Matrix. Upload Part I (5 references) of your annotated bibliography to Canvas. NOTE: THE GOAL FOR DEVELOPING THE ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY IS TO PROVIDE A VARIETY OF SOURCES ON YOUR TOPIC, INCLUDING JOURNAL ARTICLES, ORGANIZATIONAL WEBSITES (SUCH AS MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, NATIONAL CENTER FOR EDUCATION STATISTICS, etc.). When in doubt whether a source is viable and acceptable to use, check with your instructor.
EACH ARTICLE FOR THE ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY SHOULD BE one-half to one full page.
