According to Tuckman’s stages of group development model, teams go through a series of stages (forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning) as they progress towards high performance (Tuckman, 1965). By utilizing team development techniques such as team building activities, group decision-making exercises, and communication training, organizations can help teams to navigate these stages and reach their full potential.
